This is THE Chocolate Cake Recipe …. 

 
INGREDIENTS ( THIS AMOUNT IS FOR AN 8″ CAKE TIN)
 
5oz S.R.FLOUR
3oz DRINKING CHOCOLATE & COCOA POWDER 50/50 MIX (1 1/2 oz of each … to clarify )
6oz CASTER SUGAR
6oz SUNFLOWER MARGARINE
3 LARGE EGGS
3 Tblspoons HOT WATER.
 
 
 
METHOD…………….
preheat oven to 140 degrees !
 
1) GREASE AND FLOUR THE TIN AND LINE BASE./makes approx 12-14 cupcakes(lg)
 
2) MIX TOGETHER FLOUR,SUGAR,MARGARINE,EGGS AND 50/50 MIX UNTIL WELL MIXED,THEN BLEND IN THE HOT WATER AFTER.
 
3) PLACE THE CAKE MIXTURE INTO THE TIN AND BAKE ON THE MIDDLE SHELF OF THE OVEN FOR APPROX 1hour
 
4) WHEN CAKE SPRINGS BACK, TAKE OUT OFF OVEN AND TURN OUT ONTO PARCHMENT PAPER SPRINKLED WITH THE CASTOR SUGAR, AND LEAVE TO COOL COVERED WITH A CLEAN T-TOWEL!
 
 
IF YOU WISH TO DO THIS RECIPE FOR A 6″ CAKE JUST HALVE THE RECIPE. BAKING TIME ROUGHLY 45 mins
IF YOU WISH TO DO THIS RECIPE FOR A 10″ CAKE THEN DOUBLE THE RECIPE. BAKING TIME ROUGHLY 1hr 15 mins
FOR THE CUPCAKES FOLLOW EXACT SAME RECIPE ONLY DIVIDE MIXTURE INTO CUPCAKE CASES AND BAKE FOR APPROX 40 MINS !!
